DA Home Affairs oversight

The DA interacts with people in the queue outside the Home Affairs department in Johannesburg. The DA conducted an oversight visit to find out about the challenges South Africans face on a daily basis. A parent said she had been waiting for two years to sort out her documents and she was constantly told to be patient. She told the DA that at times, they are forced to pay people for a place a queue to ensure they are tended to. Video by Kamogelo Moichela
