LONDON - XR Climate Activists Force Lloyd’s of London Shutdown

Lloyd’s of London sent workers home after its offices were barricaded with Extinction Rebellion protesters, angry at the marketplace’s insurance of fossil fuel projects. The activist group claimed over 60 members participated, some blocking doors with superglue and bike chains and others scaling the outer walls and hanging slogans. The latest stunt comes just days after other protests shut down Tower Bridge and disrupted key nationwide oil terminals.
