The Hands of Ottermole - Radio City Playhouse

Radio City Playhouse was a live half-hour anthology series that aired on NBC Radio from July 3, 1948 to January 1, 1950. Directed by Harry W. Junkin, with music by Dr. Roy Shield, and announcers Bob Warren (1948-49) and Fred Collins (1949-50), the series presented original radio dramas regardless of the fame of the author, so long as they were considered 'good'.

Thomas Burke was a British author. He was born in Clapham Junction, London.

His first successful publication was Limehouse Nights (1916), a collection of stories centred on life in the poverty-stricken Limehouse district of London. Many of Burke's books feature the Chinese character Quong Lee as narrator.

His short story "The Hands of Ottermole" was later voted the best mystery of all time by critics in 1949.
