This Canal Park wasn't a place I had ever heard about until a few days before I went. I did a lot of research for this video and fortunately there were signs along the way to help me remember stuff. The Canal was built as a series of 8 canals built with the intention of making South Carolinas water ways commercially navigable, especially due to the muddy conditions of roads in the state at the time. This was a fascinating piece of history to walk through and I hope you enjoyed it with me.
