Inflation Is About To SKYROCKET

At first look, or depending on what headline you read, today's CPI didn't seem that bad. But upon a deeper dive of the data, its easy to see why wall street is so split in their decision. Simply, core inflation is a downward sloping chart, headline inflation is an upward sloping chart. Today's data can show you inflation going up or down depending on what you want to see. This was the big debate today and it was easy to see as the S&P started the morning off strong with a big gain and tech stocks up 2%, only to finish the day down almost 1%. With many investors still looking for an answer or flip flopping along the way, the one simple thing is that inflation isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Even more so, it seems like definition of Inflation or CPI = Inflation is prevailing, so to say it simply, regardless of CPI, the prices of things are going to keep going up and it will effect certain companies and their stocks.
