Elder Uchtdorf With Ukrainian Refugees
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brought a message of Christ-centered hope to Ukrainian refugees in Poland on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
The Apostle, himself a refugee twice during World War II, shared the light and hope of Christ with Church members throughout the day. In a devotional held in Warsaw especially for refugees, he read from scripture in the New Testament that speaks directly to refugees’ plight. For example, in Romans 8, the Apostle Paul asks, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” And he answers that nothing can “separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
