• Is 58:6-7 We cannot be saved without faith in Christ, but our faith lacks sincerity if it doesn't reach out to others. Fasting can be beneficial spiritually and physically, but at its best fasting helps only the person doing it. God says he wants our fasting to go beyond our own personal growth to acts of kindness, charity, justice, and generosity. This truly is pleasing to God. Four spiritual breakthroughs occur when we fast - bond of wickedness is loosed; oppression is destroyed; yokes are broken and heavy burdens are removed.

• Is 58:8-12 If we read these sweet promises with an eye on the gospel of Jesus, and interpret what is said here by this rule, they will appear most blessed. Jesus is himself the light of the morning, yes, of the morning without a cloud. Health and salvation, righteousness and peace, in him, union and communion, with all the blessings of the covenant, in Christ, will then appear to be what Prophet Isaiah has described; and such blessed union will be kept up, in prayer and praise, on our part, and gifts and graces bestowed, on the part of God. We enjoy divine guidance, increases and all manner of breakthroughs when we please God.

• Is. 58:13-14 The day of rest should be observed and regarded not only because Sabbath-keeping is a commandment but also because it is best for us and it honors God. Keeping the Sabbath shows proper respect to God, our Creator, who also rested on the seventh day (Gen_2:3). It also unifies our family and sets priorities for them. Our day of rest refreshes us spiritually and physically—providing time when we can gather together for worship and reflect on God without the stress of our everyday activities.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, thank You for making provision by the Holy Spirit for a sweet communion with You. Help me stay refreshed as I set aside time for a continuous true worship in Jesus' name! John 7:38-39
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me in these three days marathon fasting and prayer on the prayer altar. May all my desires for this quarter and year be granted in Jesus' name!

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
