Some Calgary police officers continue to wear the "thin blue line" patch on their uniforms despite orders to remove the controversial patch while on duty.
The Calgary Police Commission gave the order after a year of deliberations and consultations, saying the patch “has a contentious history with roots in division, colonialism and racism.”
Many officers are refusing to comply, saying they see it as a symbol to honour fallen officers. Heather Yourex-West reports.
