US Mortgage rates approached 5%, the highest daily avg in 4 years, as the war worsened inflation fears and the Fed ended a 2-year emergency program.
The average locked 30-year Fixed-Rate Mortage to 4.87%, the highest since late 2018, after a .33 pp in a week.
The pace of mortgage rate increases already has surpassed the outlook of all the major housing forecasters.
The average rate for a 30-year Fixed-Rate Mortgage hit a 4 year high on March 27, 2022, up 1.5 pp from the start of the year.
The implications of Russia's invasion of Ukraine for the US economy are highly uncertain.
