can a magnetic field protect astronaut from cosmic radiation??

The Sun emits Dangerous energetic particles that are mostly deflected by the Earth’s protective magnetic bubble, called the magnetosphere.
Also these partials can be absorbed by the atmosphere.
Outside this fairly safe environment like on the Moon or Mars, Astronauts, would require some other means of protection to avoid the harmful effects of this radiation.
It has been proved that a 1 Tesla magnet would be able to provide a magnetic shield about 100-200m across.
This is technically possible and would be capable of deflecting the majority of harmful solar particles.
