"Our commanders forced us, there was an order to shoot to kill at any moving person, no matter if it was peaceful, or not peaceful. Then at some point people were brought there, there were both women and men."

"How many people? What were they brought in?"

"I don't know, some kind of car, I didn't look at it, there was such a complete devastation. The people who were brought in were with white armbands. They were residents of Rubezhnoye. All of them were put in front of us, we were given the order to shoot them all. They wanted to shoot them for what was done, allegedly what was done in Bucha. We refused the terrible order, because we cannot shoot civilians. It was a very scary moment. For refusing the order, we were put in a pit in the same garage. We sat there, I don't know how long, for a day or two. A guard was assigned to us."

"A guard from among whom?"

"From among the same guys who brought those people."

"That is, not yours, not the National Guard, not the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine)?"

"No, not the National Guard, not the AFU. People were wearing some kind of nationalist armbands. Some kind of volunteer battalion units, as far as I understand. At night it happened, so the guys relaxed, they were drunk. We neutralized them and miraculously escaped to the side of Rubezhnoye where the units of the Luhansk People's Militia were, I don't know what they are called, there were no identification marks."
