Firewire Machado Sunday 6'8 Review - definitely a Mid-Length

Finally, here is the review of the Firewire Machado Sunday in 6'8. The dims are 6'8" X 21" X 3" and it comes in at 48 Liters. I'm 5'8" and weigh 145 lbs. For me this is a legit Mid-Length, funboard, big board, mega groveler and so much more. At times I feel like I am channeling my inner Machado.

For those of you that follow the channel or have run across my review of the Sunday in 6'0, you can't really compare the two. There is 8" of length and 10 Liters difference between the two so they are different boards with the same name. Having said that, I would probably choose the 6'8 since it would fill a bigger gap in my quiver. My 5'3" Twice Baked is my super groveler so the 6'0 Sunday sits just outside of that range.

It would almost make sense for me to have a 5'6, 6'0, and a 6'8 in my quiver if I didn't have the Twice Baked or the Modern 2 as my daily drivers. That is how different this board will feel at the various lengths.

I highly recommend this board for intermediates and up. If you get the board big enough, it would probably work for a beginner if you ran it as a single with side bites. But there are far better options for beginner out there such as soft tops and foamies.
