Understanding the first day of creation is an important piece in understanding the other days. The first day is the forming of the physical frame of both the earth and human bodies that will house their spirits. These first physical bodies, after their spirits were breathed into them, radiated with light like a star. Hence, the command, "Let there be light." It's in this first period of creation we understand how important sleep and rest is for the plan of creation. It's during the Earth's sleep that she hears the words of God. It acts upon these words when she awakes during the day as an act of obedience. Hence, the Earth is good and beautiful. The concept of breathing our spirit into us in the morning, rested and pure, and exhaling it at night is key for understanding of how our own materialisation and development occur. Our working day life influences our sleep life, and our spiritual sleep life works upon our daytime work. This is a simple but important relationship for any act of creation.

And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good:
And God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And the evening and the morning were the first day.
