Incredible whale shark encounter in the Galapagos Islands

Our dive guide found a plastic bag tangled in some floating kelp and grabbed it intending to throw it away. A lionfish cruising on the hardpan below became an enticing target and the guide captured the fish in the ziploc intending now to remove both from the reef. A hungry grouper struck and the guide was afraid that the plastic bag would kill the grouper and so fought to get the bag back. Getting to feed the lionfish to the grouper was just a cherry on top.
