To the Saints in Pakistan. Part 7. Romans 4:1-8
If we can understand the message of Romans four, we come to understand a great deal about the Christian religion. This chapter is perhaps the most important chapter in all of the Bible in my opinion. Here we have justification by faith and faith alone clearly explained. The Cross is made perfectly clear as that instrument whereby God justifies his people in these last days. It was always by grace alone that God saved, but that grace is made most clear to all in Christ’s New Covenant. Paul calls both Abraham (through Moses) and David to witness his teaching about Jesus. This is exactly what’s meant in Romans 3:31 when he said: “Do we then nullify the Law through faith? Far from it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.” I hope you come to see the message of the Cross more clearly today.
Today’s class was conducted from out in the mountains of Ruidoso, NM. I was out at a men’s retreat with my church for a few days at beautiful Bonita Park. The internet held up perfectly. I’m so glad we were able to continue in Romans together.
