Imperial Valley honors the fallen of 9/11

Locals payed tribute to those who died in America's worst terrorist attack and to those who bravely fought back September 11, 2001. El Centro Regional Medical Center held a remembrance ceremony with El Centro’s fire and police departments, hospital staff, local Veterans Affairs Office, and the community. Imperial Valley College held its Patriot Day 20th anniversary commemoration with military Veterans, active military personnel, elected officials, community college educators, and guests. The Imperial County Fairgrounds held the 8th Annual Imperial Valley 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor not only the 343 fallen firefighters but also the 60 law enforcement officers and 10 emergency medical services personnel who also lost their lives.
