-Samuel Green asked us to post the following clarifying note: The phrasing used to recount that Samson was called to be a Nazirite to God from the womb inadvertently made it sound like Samson’s mother was already pregnant at the time that the Angel of the Lord told her to follow certain dietary restrictions while pregnant with Samson. That instruction was actually conveyed to Samson’s mother before Samson was conceived. You can read the amazing account in Judges 13.
