Civil Right Lawsuits: How Federal Judges Thwart Justice
3 years ago
62
Legal scholars Fred Galves and Deana Sacks discuss how the judicial branch thwarts justice on a regular basis by running civil rights plaintiffs and their lawyers out of court. The scholars discuss wrongful dismissals early on in a case and how that creates "built in" error for every step of the process and often leads to an unfair and reversible jury verdict. Government and other defense lawyers often "win" by cheating in litigation, which is not a win realistically, but runs up the costs of cases and makes it virtually impossible to vindicate civil rights.
