Fabio Alberto Hurtado is an author, teacher, husband, father, grandfather and pet-dad. He was born in La Habana, Cuba, immigrated as a child and settling in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He currently resides in North Carolina. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. The stories in his first book "Masticate and Swallow" chronicle the humor and heartbreak of growing up in a Communist country as well as the life of an immigrant family struggling to survive. His latest book "How To Destroy An Eclipse And Other Tales Of Redemption: The Jersey Years" is a fictionalized memoir set in New Jersey from the late 80s to the mid 90s. Both books are available now.
