SB 196 - Public Education: Speech, Disclose Instructional Material

This is a Senate bill being proposed in Alaska. https://www.akleg.gov/basis/Bill/Text/32?Hsid=SB0196A My interpretation: It looks like a bill to have schools openly show the public what teaching materials they are using. To show what books they use to teach, and other teaching aids. It helps parents know what is being taught to their children. Then, it looks like the school will not be able to indoctrinate children. The goal should be to teach politics, rather than to indoctrinate students in a narrow set of political beliefs. Then, it looks like parents can sue the school if they violate these policies. That is my understanding. If there is someone else that can give their understanding of this, that would be great to help spread the word. From what I am reading, this is a good thing. It should be fought for, as well as this one.
