The Day of the Jackal was a 1973 political thriller film directed by Fred Zinnemann about a professional assassin known only as the "Jackal" who is hired to assassinate French president Charles de Gaulle in 1963.
The parallels to the current political climate are extraordinary just as they are damning. You see, the Jackal is next in line - and all the evidence points to yesterday's grand standing appearance from his Washington DC Bunker - Regime Leader Hussein as the bagman as the nation experienced it's first Bring Your Puppeteer To Work Day.
