Here we read the Fifth Part of St. Bernard de Clairvoux's book on Humility and Pride. Containing the tenth Chapter, finally focusing on The First Degree of Pride: Curiosity, the opposite of modesty, especially of the eyes.

It's an interesting read, how St. Bernard explains how curiosity is the root of evil, it flows well with the Philosophy I already understand, that is, the goodness(or evilness) of "you" is the sum of everything that makes you, your habits mostly, but also your memory. The mere memory of evil, in itself, makes you less good as it makes evil a considered possibility.

"Twelves degrees of Humility and Pride", written by St. Bernard of Clairvoux, is a book about pride and humility. It's a look from a monk's perspective on how to walk the path of the humble and gain control of their egotism. It teaches that a humble heart finds the path of truth, it's a lens to look through to observe one's flaws so that one may better correct them and come closer to the ultimate good. It's a book that contains Saint Bernard's quotes on humility and is also commonly known as the "Twelve Steps of Humility and Pride".
