Neil Young has been a counter-culture hero for over 50 years. He's waged a one-man social activist war-through-music, singing and speaking out against corporate greed, corruption, governmental overreach and Presidential administrations from Richard Nixon to Donald Trump.
More recently, Neil has forgotten the essential value of free speech — the inalienable right that allowed him to protest through music and lyrics his entire career.
I believe free speech is sacrosanct and that the pharmaceutical-governmental-industrial complex has no right to silence medical experts who don't parrot their pre-determined talking points and interpretations of "data." Silencing and censoring has become tragically commonplace, with many highly qualified doctors and scientists de-platformed and even fired for simply sharing their knowledge, speaking about their clinical experience, and opening their hearts to minds to unburden their consciences. To silence opposing voices is to work against Science — and it has to stop.
So I was inspired to update the lyrics to "Ohio," calling out pharmaceutical greed and influence over governmental agencies, public health authorities, mainstream media narratives and social media censorship. The often-misguided advice and mandates of this self-serving cabal has trampled on the rights of Americans ostensibly guaranteed by our Constitution and its amendments.
If it's the function of large corporations to care more about profits than people, then it's our responsibility (we, the people they care less about) to keep the corporations in check.
This is my plea to demand our rights back.

Big Pharma and Fauci’s comin’
Big money can buy control
Keep pushing for record profits
Deciding what you can know

Gotta get down to it
They don’t mind cutting us down
Doin’ it from long ago…
What if immune systems
all lie dead on the ground
How will you feel when you know?

Why? Why?
I want to know.
I want to know everything.
What?
What can I say?
