Synopsis:
Joel takes a look at some heavy-load, water-related equipment: Water heaters & sump pumps. These kinds of equipment require a dedicated receptacle and GFCI protection for safety purposes. In some cases, fully-electric, heavy-load equipment may require a 30-amp feed and thicker wire gauge from the electrical box. Be sure to install a water level and power failure monitor for appliances that pose a flood risk.
