What is Shabbat? (6th Video in the Hebrew Vocab Block)

Rebekah (not a native Hebrew speaker) gives simple understanding to 12 Hebrew words: YHVH, Yahshua, Ruach ha'Kodesh, Shabbat, Mo'edim, Mikvah, Melchizedek (still to come: Elohim, Shalom Aleikhem, Teshuvah, Ahmein and Israel).

Shabbat or Sabbath is the 7th day of the week (Saturday). Established at Creation and commanded in the Royal Law (found in Exodus 19-24) we are to honor this day by not working on it. Instead, we are to rest and delight in it. Ezekiel says that keeping Shabbat is a sign that we are in Biblical Covenant -- it is a sign that we are betrothed to the Bridegroom, Yahshua. Not keeping Shabbat? Then you aren't in covenant!

Interesting thing is that part of the command to Shabbat is to work for 6 days. Therefore, in order to obey we must actually work for the 6 working days (Day 1-6) and rest for the 1 set apart day, Shabbat (Day 7). And remember that we don't chose which day this is (as in: work for any 6 days and rest for at least 1 day a week). No! There is a specific day of the week that the Creator told us he sanctified. We can not sanctify a day. And Sunday is not Shabbat. Sunday will never be the weekly Shabbat.

But also remember that there are 7 High Shabbats that are associated with Yahovah's Feasts. We must keep those too. They may fall on different days of the week. Stay tuned into the Creators Calendar to know when those are so you can keep those.

Rebekah is calling all believers to come back to the Royal Law and keep Yah's Holy Shabbats! All Melchizedek priests will be keeping the same weekly Shabbat that Yahshua kept when he was here. If you are confused about the crazy teachings going around (like a floating Shabbat or morning-to-morning error) just look to the Messiah and do what he did! He NEVER challenged the religious leaders about when they were celebrating Shabbat. Keep it simple, people! WWYD?
