Self Preservation Tied to Original Sin

If Adam had said something at the tree while the snake (the Adversary) was coming after the ezer kenegdo (the woman) then Adam would have been exposed as a liar -- no better than the snake. So, he became silent in order to preserve self. In that moment, he didn't own up to his prior lie. You see, Adam actually ADDED to the commandment of YHVH (Gen.2:17). Adam told his beauty (his ezer kenegdo / the woman) that she would die if she TOUCHED it (Gen.3:3). But YHVH never said that! That's why the snake was able to deceive her. He wasn't dying and he was touching it. Therefore, she concluded that perhaps YHVH wasn't being fully honest with her. And that's why Adam stayed silent - he new what the snake was saying was correct, that she wouldn't die if she touched it. Adam knew that YHVH never said they would die if they touched it. Adam knew that YHVH said they would die if they ATE of it. Original sin was about twisting what love is all about. It seems that Adam was trying to love his ezer kenegdo (later to be known as Chavah) by putting an extra fence around her in order to keep her safe ("just don't touch it"). Remember that the woman didn't hear the command from YHVH himself. YHVH told the man to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam relayed to her the command. But Adam decided "love" would mean to add to the command just a little bit.... OMG!

BLESSING: May YHVH ELOHIM give you eyes to see and ears to hear so that you can make it all the way to the Great Wedding Feast of the Lamb and be a blessing to others as you travel there in obedience! May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you with health and prosperity as His will desires.
