March 7, 2020

1. Understand the difference between reduced and oxidized glutathione.
2. Understand the role of mitochondria in free radical production.
3. Appreciate the role of glutathione in maintaining health.

Dr. Timothy Guilford, MD, received his medical training from the University of Texas Medical
School. He completed his surgery internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and residency at the
University of Michigan. He is board certified in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat surgery).
The need for a therapeutic approach in treating allergies in children resulted in his initial interest
in homeopathic medicine. In 2002, he received ACAM's Norman C. Clark Award for Innovation.
Dr. Guilford’s use of metal detoxification methods and research into the toxicity of mercury
demonstrate that glutathione is a critical component of the defense against heavy metals.
