The Resurrection of Christ

Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Zachariah 13: 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Zachariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Zachariah 8: 8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
>THE “BRANCH” is JESUS CHRIST
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
>Joshua is another name for Jesus, this is Jesus. The seven eyes are the Elect of God.
10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree
Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
>I believe this is the only sign that will be given to an evil and adulterous generation such as ours right now. Many seek after signs and wonders but fail to seek the one who gives the signs and wonders!
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the (heart) of the earth.

>A more understandable rendition of these verses would be; Jesus went to paradise and revealed Himself to all who had died from the Genesis of mankind.
>An interesting word to note here is “HEART”

“Heart”Strong's G # 2588- kardia: heart Original Word: καρδία, ας, ἡ Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine Transliteration: kardia

>During these three days and three nights after His crucifixion he went to paradise and preached to the hearts and minds of all of mankind and gave them the opportunity to accept the New Testament plan of His salvation. God had set this plan of salvation into motion before the foundation of the world.
The modern day rendition of this event is just as bad as the account of Ishtar bunny. Modern day theologians claim that Christ went to the center of the earth in a cavern of hot molten lava where they claim all souls who have died in the past are waiting or sleeping. Then they actually claim there are three days and nights between Friday and Sunday. The modern Church has become nothing more than a den of myths and fairytales.
>The “sign given” is Jesus Christ in the tomb for three days and three nights and then He resurrected on the third day and it was witnessed by so many to be a fact.
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights and so was Jesus.

Matthew 26:61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
Mark 14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Matthew 17:1
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
