SUN'S SOLAR FLARES FROM 'CANYON OF FIRE' INTERRUPTED COMMUNICATIONS & CREATED NORTHERN LIGHTS

A Canyon of Fire on the sun is at least 12,400 miles deep and 10 times as long (400,000 km). Space.com reported that after a March 30th eruption "Aviators, mariners, and ham radio operators may have noticed unusual propagation effects at frequencies below 30 MHz [megahertz],". A NASA official wrote, "Flares and solar eruptions can impact radio communications, electric power grids, navigation signals, and pose risks to spacecraft and astronauts." It also treated many to the eye candy or the northern lights.
