Robinhood, an app for trading stocks and cryptocurrencies, will integrate the Bitcoin Lightning Network. The layer-2 network built on top of Bitcoin enables quicker and lower-cost transactions. Qualified individuals on Robinhood's beta crypto queue may now send and receive cryptocurrency using its wallet functionality. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that enabling crypto deposits and withdrawals are "just the first steps" that the firm is taking into crypto.
