Bike rides end in trouble

I rode a bicycle and nothing foreshadowed trouble as suddenly. Something broke and I lost control and fell, the left side of the bike handle broke off due to the load. I was safe, but I had to continue on my way, holding on to the bike handlebar only on the right.
