For twelve hours in a row, being on neutral territory, we received and received groups of surrendering Ukrainian marines. When at one point one hundred and sixty people came out, I must admit that I was very excited, there were much fewer of us, but we did an excellent job.

In the host group, armed and equipped, and partly acting like an ordinary commando, was the Minister of Internal Affairs of the DPR Alexei Dikiy. All the details of the preparation and conduct of the operation will be presented later, by people who have a real relationship to the topic. I know that with the same 501st (not 503rd, as everyone reports) battalion, the knights of the cloak and dagger, and military intelligence, and one highly professional and excellent colleague respected by me, but in a different direction, worked in parallel.

ОПЕРАЦИЯ, В КОТОРОЙ БЫЛИ ЗАДЕЙСТВОВАНЫ МНОГИЕ И МНОГИЕ СИЛЫ.

«Мы единственные репортёры, оказавшиеся в самой гуще событий». Не люблю, когда такие слова произносят по поводу и без повода. Но в данном случае это к месту, и это так. Нам доверили выйти на линию фронта с небольшой группой спецназа МВД ДНР и под обстрелом своей и чужой артиллерии наблюдать за происходящим.

Сразу скажу, что за тридцать лет моей репортёрской карьеры такую картину я наблюдал первый раз. Двенадцать часов подряд, находясь на нейтральной территории, мы принимали и принимали группы сдающихся украинских морских пехотинцев. Когда в один из моментов вышли сто шестьдесят человек, я, признаться, весьма заволновался, нас было гораздо меньше, но, справились отлично.

В группе примающих, вооружённый и экипированный, и отчасти действующий, как обычный спецназовец, находился министр МВД ДНР Алексей Дикий. Все подробности подготовки и проведения операции будут изложены позже, людьми, имеющими реальное отношение к теме. Знаю, что с этим же 501-м (не 503-м, как все сообщают) батальоном параллельно работали рыцари плаща и кинжала, и военная разведка, и одна уважаемая мной высокопрофессиональная и прекрасная коллега, но на другом направлении.

Все свои наблюдения, если будет принято решение моим руководством ВГТРК, я изложу в выпуске «Вестей недели» на телеканале «Россия-1» в воскресение 10 апреля. Снимали, не суетясь, тремя камерами, будет и что показать.
