#209 - Russia & The Magog Prophecy Explained

120

Since Russia is in the news, prophetic teachers are again making reference to the prophesies of Gog and Magog (The Scythian, Russian people). In this program, I try to clear up some of the erroneous interpretations of this prophecy. The bottom line is that the battle of Gog and Magog does not take place during the Great Tribulation period but at the end of the millennial reign of Christ. Don't expect Russian to attack Israel in the current age.

  • Pastor Brad, i plan to relisten to this one. i have never heard your interpretation of this prophesy but a wise man said that prophesy is not given for prophesying but for encouragement as we see it taking place we will not be caught off guard and we will not be prey to false teaching either, like the humanistic view that we can save the planet. I have never "looked" for anything prophetic...just "looking for the Lord's return because I believe with my whole heart that no one knows how or when it will all play out but God. we have always been simply witnesses and participants in His merciful and righteous work on the Earth as His Namesake! i love Him so much!

  • Pastor Brad, this is my third attempt to leave a comment. I have never heard an interpretation of that war like yours before. I do know one thing that prophecy is not given for prophesying but for encouragement to us who know it, so that when it does appear we will not be overcome with fear and we will be equipped. the only event that I am looking forward to is the rapture. I believe it can happen at any time. and whatever else happens in the meantime, we can recognize God's hand in it as you often show us in your expositions. after all, that is what we are on the Earth oh, we Are Witnesses of his work and his will. and when we able we are participants but always for his glory and according to his will.

  • I think that wise saying about prophecy came from a man called Sir Robert Anderson who wrote a book called The Coming Prince. if you don't have it in your library I highly recommend it.
