In this podcast, I will talk about war. Here are some stats:
WW1:
The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I, was around 40 million. There were 20 million deaths and 21 million wounded. The total number of deaths includes 9.7 million military personnel and about 10 million civilians.
WW2:
An estimated total of 70–85 million people perished, or about 3% of the 2.3 billion (est.) people on Earth in 1940. Deaths directly caused by the war (including military and civilian fatalities) are estimated at 50–56 million, with an additional estimated 19–28 million deaths from war-related disease and famine.
Total of both, 110 million to 125 million deaths
In one article I read, it is estimated that 1 billion died in wars, I think that number is higher.
