Heating Up Compost Pile

We just built our compost pile and had it filled. The temps have been lowered to about 100 degrees and we need to heat up our compost pile back between 120-160 degrees. We do this by turning the compost to add air and water it down between layers to keep it most.

Recently we got to try our first hand at returning a favor and farm sitting for our neighbors. They have livestock that we don't and usually, we have to buy manure, but they told us we could scoop up as much manure as we wanted for our compost while taking care of their animals! This was perfect timing because we had recently built our new compost bin and it was ready to be tended to as well.
