More than Cardboard Beds: What does a REAL Field Hospital Look Like?

In August 2021 I spent a week at Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand helping volunteers set up a 1,800 bed field hospital. On the day before it opened, I was able to properly tour the facility with a professional photographer (Jack From Thailand) to help tell the story of the incredible people who showed up day after day to help out and what they finally accomplished.

The temporary hospital, built in an old airport cargo warehouse, is meant to give panicked COVID-19 patients peace of mind while freeing up space in permanent hospitals where sick and injured people need to be.
