This is not my first DIY home project. I have built my own houses, physically doing all work myself, two times from ground to roof peak and everything in between. Plus 2 more house that had to be lifted to put a foundation under them and then completely gut and rebuild them all the way to a roof on top. If you can read and follow instructions you can build a house. During all of these I've only had one building inspection that found one minor item that had to be re-worked. (one wrong "Y" in the DWV system, in my second house rebuild)
