How to know if you live for God and not for yourself

My beloved friends, many times, and i will add, too many times we end up being so entangled with the things of this world that for sure, we need an introspection.
That is to realize where are we situated now, from faith standpoint! Do we live for God, as we promised when we said yes to Him and we committed our life to Him? Or, along the way, we allowed the world to change us and turn us into nothing more than church goers?
These changes are extremely discreet and it requires a deep look into our own very soul to realize where we are!
