Thousands rally in Spain to demand pay hikes amid high inflation
Thousands of workers rallied in Madrid on Thursday in a protest called by Spain's labor unions to demand higher wages to combat the higher prices driven up by global inflation on November 3. Members of the UGT and CCOO unions, Spain's two major unions, marched behind the sign "Salary or Conflict" through the capital. They want the government and business leaders to agree to raise the minimum salary above the current 1,000 euros a month to handle rampant inflation that has only recently started to descend. Like other countries, Spain has seen an increase in prices driven by rising fuel costs due to supply reductions.

Wine Threatened by Climate Change
Wine lovers, beware: Climate change is coming for your favorite beverage. Warmer temperatures are making grapes mature faster, producing wine with a higher alcohol content and weaker aroma. Scientists and winemakers tell CBS News they are undertaking efforts to climate-proof their crops. In Spain, a vineyard planted grapes in a curved pattern, which will help keep water in place if it doesn’t rain for a while. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
