The civilized world facilitates many food paradigms that get spread through the internet world. Any regimen that is too rigid is out of alignment with nature and the cycles that exist therein. Any food way that doesn’t primarily focus on the local and seasonal foods of the region is based out of an artificial world. So although there is a lot of argument about the right diet for humans, the reality of what’s happening is SAME STORE DIFFERENT AISLE. For me the journey definitely began externally, looking to food and diet as the be-all end-all. As we progress it is important to realize that everything outside of ourselves serves as a tool, a catalyst or a reminder, but that ultimately the true power lies within us. If you want to save anything you must have a intimate and sacred relationship with it. Nothing is more sacred of a relationship than what we consume that becomes a part of us, FOOD! I believe we get caught up in the individual and disregard the collective and in the end that is a detriment to the individual and the collective. This is where humanity gets obsessed with avoiding death, forgetting that procreation is the mechanism by which species persist. Like I always see @sustainabledish say it’s not the Cow it’s the HOW! I understand that sometimes we get so used to having access to certain resources and services that we begin to feel entitled to them. The truth is the world doesn’t owe us anything especially when the things we feel owed we could have been providing for ourselves in the first place. When we outsource our responsibilities to others we risk our freedom. This is because we can become dependent on something outside of ourselves for survival. This is the dilema that most are in; living lives that completely depend on other people and entities to function. Take this as a wake up call to begin to take back some power that you’ve outsourced.
