Filipino Heritage "Leron, Leron Sinta"
The Filipino Heritage Society of Montreal launched Filipino Heritage Month in Canada every June. It all started in Montreal with a motion in the City Council declaring June as Filipino Heritage Month. The following year, the Federal Government of Canada adopted this motion, and now the entire country celebrates Filipino Heritage Month, governed by a motion in Parliament. Every June, Filipinos all over Canada have numerous festivities and programs to celebrate the whole month.
In Montreal, the celebration kicked off at the Filipino Association of Montreal and Suburbs Basement with the theme "BALIK-TANAW SA KULTURA" - Revisiting Filipino Culture Through Folk Songs and Folklore. The Panday Tinig led the anthems of both our motherland and adopted country. The speaker of the day was former Councilor Marvin Rotrand. Local restaurants Kusina Norte, Love Joy Chicken, MC Restaurant, and Papa's Restaurant sponsored the food after the show. Raquel Trinidad, an officer of the Filipino Association of Montreal and Suburbs, contributed a delicious Bilo-Bilo—it was amazing.
You will witness old songs from the 90s, including "O Ilaw" by Panday Tinig, "Malinac Lay Labi" and "O Naraniag a Bulan" by Jessie Pascual, "Magtanim Ay Di Biro" by the Filipino Association of Montreal and Suburbs Heritage Kids, "Si Pilemon" by Willie Gomez, and "Sarung Banggi" by Ricardo Ribaya. And for the songs of love: "Dandansoy" and "Leron-Leron Sinta."
Don't forget to comment, like, and share with all your family and friends.

SHE'S GONE
SHE'S GONE (LYRICS)
She's gone
Out of my life
I was wrong
I'm to blame
I was so untrue
I can't live without her love
In my life
There's just an empty space
All my dreams are lost
I'm wasting away
Forgive me, girl
Lady, won't you save me?
My heart belongs to you
Lady, can you forgive me?
For all I've done to you
Lady, oh, lady
She's gone
Out of my life
Oh, she's gone
I find it so hard to go on
I really miss that girl, my love
Come back into my arms
I'm so alone
I'm begging you
I'm down on my knees
Forgive me, girl
Lady, won't you save me?
My heart belongs to you
Lady, can you forgive me?
For all I've done to you
Lady, oh, lady
Oh, lady
Lady, won't you save me?
My heart belongs to you
Lady, can you forgive me?
For all I've done to you
Lady, oh, lady
My heart belongs to you
Lady, can you forgive me?
For all I've done to you

Fun Day Spring 2024
On April 14th, 2024, the Federation of Filipino Canadian Associations of Quebec held their annual FUN DAY at Kent Park in Montreal, Quebec, under the leadership of Minda Mazzone. Despite the slightly cold weather, many families came out and had a great time. There was a PET Show, Cookie Painting, Face Painting, and a Bouncy Castle where kids enjoyed themselves. Plenty of snacks, chips, and drinks were provided to visitors. Kids also participated in a mini Zumba session called ZUMBINI. Additionally, representatives from all three levels of government were in attendance, including city councilors, members of the National Assembly, and the Federal MP. The day concluded with an egg hunt organized by the kids. Everyone had a blast, and anticipation is high for the next spring event.
