Colombia’s Most Dangerous Hood During Pablo Escobar 🇨🇴
Santa Domingo, Medellín was one of Latin America's most dangerous hoods during the Pablo Escobar epoch. Times have changed, but repercussions are dire. I set out with my friend @CagatayOzdemir7 to visit a place where they feed the children of the hood who became the victims of the drug war. If you want to help out, here is Schneider's WhatsApp:

Escape From Venezuela (Documentary) 🇻🇪
This is a documentary about Venezuela's migration crisis. Never have I worked so hard on a video, and never have I spilled so many tears while editing one. If you would like to support this channel, please consider chipping in on https://www.patreon.com/thesalukie .
Venezuela.
A country where people earn $30 a month and a BigMac costs $8.
A country where the goverment made it illegal for doctors to report starvation as the cause of death.
Where the police will frame you for drugs if you refuse to pay they bribes.
6 Million venezuelans have fled to become refugees as of 2022, which is roughly 21 percent of the population.
Many of those who flee do so on foot, without a dollar in their pocket, walking thousands of miles in search of a better life.
Some who already made it realise that life in another country as a Venezuelan isn't half what they'd hoped for.
Shall we go put our feed in the dirt, meet the people, and hear their side of the story? I think so.

Colombian Girls Take Me To The Hood 🇨🇴
The Soacha ghetto in Cundinamarca, on the very edge of Bogotá, gained national notoriety after the presidential candidate Luis Carlos Galán was assassinated on August 18, 1989 while visiting the city during his presidential campaign.
Also during 1989, the bombing of Avianca Flight 203 happened in Soacha, killing everyone on-board plus three Soacha residents. The bombing was planned by Cartel de Medellin leader Pablo Escobar, who intended to murder presidential candidate César Gaviria, who was supposed to be on board. Gaviria had decided not to fly and instead went on to become President of Colombia.
In 2008, the 'false positives' scandal broke out when 22 men from Soacha who had been recruited for work were found dead several hundreds of miles away. They had been killed by the military and presented to authorities as guerrilla fighters (insurgents) killed in battle, in order to increase action head counts. Similar cases have since appeared all over the Colombia.

my IMPRESSIONS from the Amazon Jungle
I survived for a few days in the Amazon jungle with its indigenous habitants:
A shaman and another member of the Yucuna tribe, who after being forced to join the Colombian army and live in the cities decided to go back to their roots of life in the jungle. I ate like them, slept like them, and even studied a bit of their language. Join me as I learn about their culture, heritage and traditions before they disappear. This is the last part.

Making Coca Leaves Powder in Colombia's Amazon Jungle 🇨🇴

I assume you have watched the entire thing, because I suppose that only a person who has actually watched it would be curious enough to see who is the man behind the camera who did this all by himself -
Which isn't true by the way, the guide was doing his job (guiding me)
and who is the man that was curious enough about life in the Amazon Jungle to casually stumble upon a man called Amit Assulin who has had the crazy idea of going to make a movie in the AMAZON JUNGLE?!
Well, nothing is casual.
Allow me to elaborate.
I have decided I am making a film about the use of Psychedelics in Shamanic cultures, with said Amit Assulin.
Before I tell you more about him, let me tell you about my plan on HOW to make that documentary.
1. I decided I will make a film and write a book in 2023. Didn't say when in 2023. Why shouldn't that happen tomorrow?
2. *ill continue this when i know*
3. this is a variable, if you want to give me your ideas I’ll add them and then change them later when someone has a better idea.
4. If you have any specific things you want me to research, write me an email on Patreon for £1. You can later cancel the subscription.
More about him: Amit Assulin conducts tours through the Amazon rainforest and can arrange a tradition tour or something similar to what I did. He is also making a film about the indigenous habitants of the Colombian Amazon, so look out for that.
That is what I wrote a year ago.
Still no movie, so I think he needs a push. I have him 1.000.000 Colombian Pesos when I was poor for him to let me do this doco, so now that I'm finally have money I want to give him enough for me to make the movie with him.
I met him in real life in Brazil one day.
I know he will want to do the movie with me.
I asked him that day if I were to give him the money, he will join forces with me. The problem:
I just don't know where I'll get the money.
In fact, I do. Without any investment that isn’t faith in my project.

¡CONGRATS, YOU FOUND THE SECRET VIDEO! Read the description
No seriously, you are a real believer in my mission if you have read all this, so I really do appreciate you.

“The Amazon River Is The Main Road For Drug Trafficking”🌍
Tommy said: “The Amazon River Is The Main Road For Drug Trafficking”
In the Amazon, where Colombia, Brazil and Peru meet, the once crime saturated Colombian city of Leticia enjoys relative tranquility, while Brazilian neighbor Tabatinga is rocked by drug trade violence, namely cocaine.
The tri-border region's geographical position leaves it at the heart of a booming drug trade facilitated by porous borders, a fluid population and disparate resources between the three nations.

Would You Live In This Dangerous Colombian Hood? I Did.
The north and the south of Bogotá are like two completely different cities. The north is upper-class, home to fancy restaurants and shopping districts. The south is notorious for crime, drugs and poverty. Locals will sometimes joke around by asking foreigners if they have checked out el Sur (the south), but they really don't want you to go there.
Well, I decided to live in one of the hoods of south Bogotá (for a while) to see what it's really like.

The Bravest Woman In Israel 🇮🇱
This is part 2/2 of the Syrians in Israel series. Part 1: https://youtu.be/eORiJNt_3Wk
Before the Six-Day War 1967, Golan Heights was a part of Syria. After the war, Israel annexed the Golan Heights.
I picked up a hitchhiker from one of the four remaining Syrian-Druze villages - the village of Buq'ata - and convinced him to share his story and give us an inner look at the life of the remaining Syrians in Israel. In this video we met his sister-in-law, who also happens to be an outstanding entrepreneur and probably the bravest woman in Israel.

Meeting Russians in an Israeli Beach 🇷🇺
This is part 2/2 of the Russians in Israel series. Part 1: https://youtu.be/FpDrlOJ7iM8
The 1990s post-Soviet "Aliyah" (immigration) began in the late 1980s when Mikhail Gorbachev opened the borders of the Soviet Union and allowed Jews to go and live in Israel. We visited Haifa - which also happens to be a city I spent many years in - in order to meet Russians and other immigrants from the Former Soviet Union. In this video, we decided to go to Haifa's beach to see how many Russians we may encounter.
If you are wondering how I came to know the Russian language - it's because having spent so much time in Haifa I developed a love for the Soviet people and their culture, and that persuaded me to learn the language to really understand them better. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to visit several Former Soviet Republics - Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Lithuania. I have documented some of these expeditions on my channel, so be sure to have a look if you'd like to see more Russian-spoken content.

How Do Bedouins Live In Israel? 🐪
Bedouins are Arabs and desert nomads who hail from and continue to live primarily in the Arabian peninsula and the Middle East and North Africa, in this case Israel.
After hitching a ride from a kind Bedouin man into Nablus, I was invited by him to the biggest Bedouin city in the world - Rahat in Israel. He told me I would be overwhelmed by people's hospitality, and he wasn't wrong. This video documents how the Bedouins live.
