On December 20, 2022 Marxist protestors took to the streets in front of the Cathedral in Cuzco, Peru. The Archbishop of Cuzco suspended Masses on the Sunday before the march due to security fears, but he was not afraid to offer to join the march in solidarity with the protesters.
