The word for Wilderness in Biblical Hebrew is Midbhar, spelt as מִדְבָּר. (source: Strong's Hebrew #4057).
What many don't see if you're not a student of Biblical Hebrew is the obvious word almost hidden in plain sight, i.e. the word DAVAR, which is spelt as דָּבַר in Biblical Hebrew (a tri-consonantal word).
Let's recap:
- so far, you've noted the word for Wilderness is MIDBHAR (מִדְבָּר)
- The word Midbhar contains another word, Davar (דָּבַר)which is spelt with the 3 alephbets, Dalet/ד, Bet/ב and Resh/ר.
So, here's the insight:
It is in the wilderness (or midbhar) that YHWH speaks His Words (Davar) to you, providing you with direction, specificities to fulfill the mission for the days ahead. Throughout the entire Counsel of YHWH, we have many examples of those whom HE called, who spent much time in the Midbhar - for example, Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Apostle Paul.
Deuteronomy 8:2 provide the context to the Wilderness training that our Creator allow His generals to go through. Even Yeshua/Christ was led by the Holy Spirit into the Wilderness (in Greek, it's ερημος, Strong's Greek #2048, Eremos).
Additional commentary on Wilderness, by Abarim Publications, referenced & acknowledged for this use:
"The Hebrew word for wilderness is מדבר (midbar) and derives from the root דבר (dabar), meaning "word" or science; its Greek equivalent is the familiar concept of Logos, which is the unified summing up of the whole of natural law (compare ROMANS 1:20 to COLOSSIANS 1:16). The Biblical image of a wilderness is also not an inert sandy desert, as Hollywood curiously demands, but simply an uncultivated landscape where water flows and fruits grow freely but where also lions prowl and shelter is sparse.
It's actually quite common for folks who hold truth dearer than anything to break with received wisdom and dart off into the uncharted wild. So common, even, that entire communities have always existed outside the mainstream, with their own narrative currencies, histories and concerns. Famous escapees from established dogma who settled in those rogue communities are Moses (Exodus 3:1), David (1 Samuel 23:14), Elijah (1 Kings 19:4), and of course John the Baptist (MATTHEW 3:1) and Jesus of Nazareth (MATTHEW 4:1).
"Calling upon the name of YHWH" or pursuing of knowledge of the Creator by looking at creation is nearly as old as humanity (Genesis 4:26) and although the Temple of YHWH is the apex of human civilization, it's unfortunately not immune to corruption (see Jeremiah 7:11, MATTHEW 21:13, and read our article on Annas), and a stint in the wilderness is always a tempting option.
Particularly the prophet Isaiah had quite a few famous things to say about the wilderness. He foresaw an invader come from the desert (21:1) but also saw the desert bloom and produce fruit and cause celebration and gladness (35:1), and even rallied the people of the desert to pave the way for the complete revelation of the Creator (40:3). Deeply desiring truth while Big Money controls all temples, churches, universities and media outlets is a massively frustrating position (HEBREWS 11:38), but now with the Internet and particularly with crypto-currencies, the rogue scholars of the world have never had greater opportunities to band up, and while the heedless jet set is licking its greasy fingers, rogue tribes are transforming from doling nomads to thriving emirates and will very soon bring to fall our world's most abominable evil empire (REVELATION 18:2).", source: https://www.abarim-publications.com/DictionaryG/e/e-r-et-m-o-sfin.html

Peer to Peer monthly TAV TEACH Biblical Hebrew: Tales of the 2 grapes from the vineyard/כֶּרֶם.
Peer to peer presenter: Sister Susie Thyaharaj.
25th July 2022.
An initiative of TAVTEACH Biblical Hebrew for those who've graduated from the foundational 9 lessons Biblical Hebrew Program.
Vineyard = כֶּרֶם or Kerem (Strong's Hebrew #3754 in Biblical Hebrew), https://biblehub.com/hebrew/3754.htm
Kerem is masculine noun, usually translated as vineyard.
Anavim is the plural fro enav, which is a Biblical Hebrew word for grapes,
עֵנָב (Strong's Hebrew #6025), https://biblehub.com/hebrew/6025.htm
Beusim, בְּאֻשִׁים is from Strong's Hebrew #891, meaning wild grapes (or it could also be interpreted as stinking or worthless things, or stinking berries).
This Biblical Hebrew word is only used twice (2x) in the entire Tanakh (or what we call Old Testament).
Overall, sister Susie Thyaharaj did a fantastic job of researching the topic, understanding the different word play and the parallel between the 2 very different grapes with very different outcomes.
Great work, sister Susie Thyaharaj. I look forward to Part 2 of this "Tale of 2 grapes from the kerem". You could also do another contrast and compare word studies (like what I did, with Qavah, which could mean hope or rope, or the ROPE of HOPE!).

Insights: TOLA Shani Crimson Worm in Psalms 22 verse 6.
This is a deep teaching based on the word Tola'at (תוֹלַ֣עַת) as contained in Psalms 22:6.
Psalms 22, verse 6 in Biblical Hebrew:
וְאָנֹכִי תוֹלַעַת וְלֹא־אִישׁ חֶרְפַּת אָדָם וּבְזוּי עָם
Psalms 22:6 in English, NASB:
But I am a worm and not a person, A disgrace of mankind and despised by the people.
That word Tola'at stems from the word tola/תּוֹלָע which is from Strong's Hebrew #8438.
If one glances over this word, they might not pick up the deep insights as contained in this word.
But as a friend states after watching this video, "It is always interesting to find something else in nature that relates to something in the Bible. Intricately designed so that it all point to Jesus. There is no excuse for anyone NOT to believe in Yeshua the Messiah. May His Name be praised forever more".
To those who are Christians, I pray that this video will strengthen your faith in ABBA FATHER, His Son Yeshua and the accuracy of the Word of Elohim.
To those whom I send this video who has no response, I pray that your faith will grow. You got to stop drinking milk, and STOP going to churches that preaches basic seeker friendly sermons week after week.
To pre believers and those who are seeking, I pray that you will find HIM whom I call SAVIOR, LORD, FRIEND, & COVENANT PARTNER.
And if you are a seeking Jewish person, I pray that haSHEM will break that partial blindness, and restore your sight so you can embrace the MASHIACH you never knew, that Savior spoken about in Isaiah 53, who was also despised as described in Psalms 22:6.
Friends, HE is worth your everything. Seek Him, get to know HIM, enter into a covenant with him, live a life of OBEDIENCE to Him. Don't worry about tomorrow, and what you will eat, drink.
His promise is that "seek ye first the Kingdom of God". Put Him first. Seek Him, and learn from Him. Drink from His Word.
If you have understood this video, you are blessed, just like many others! Another friend remarked, "God's amazing revelation through His Creation. Praise & honor to our LORD who reigns forever. Thanks, for teaching, bro. Without the teaching, it makes no sense".
---------------------------------------------------
In conclusion, let me say this: this Creator God is so awesome HE's left His signature everywhere (like Rembrandt):
a) In our human DNA, at the sulfuric bridges that connects our DNA amino acids together (YHWH);
b) in nature, as you can see from this video, even in the Tola worm (coccus ilicis in the Latin, or the modern name of Kermes vermilio)
c) in the "untranslatable" word in the Old Testament, i.e. the word ET/את.
May you be blessed through the viewing of this video, and may you find Him as you seek Him.
Ask and you shall be given;
seek and you will find.
Knock, and the door will be open to you!
Maranatha, even so, come LORD Yeshua!
I look forward to welcoming many of my old class mates, friends, and others whom I've never met to the family of GOD through the power contained in the unlocking of His Word as it is released through this teaching video.
Baruch haSHEM, blessings, & Le'Chayyim!
