I received a compliment at the moment that I really needed it. I was down and upset and not feeling confident and suddenly a message came from a stranger complimenting me. We all need a compliment. When I was in High School, I lost a basketball game for my school's team because I missed the game-winning shot. I wanted to die. I failed myself, my team, and the fans and I did it in front of everyone in the community. After the game, I found a secluded spot in the gym and cried my heart out. I was devasted at my failure. At the moment that I could no longer stand, an arm came around me and hugged me. A stringer appeared out of nowhere and gave me the love to go on. Who have you hugged today? Whose life have you changed by just being there for them? It does not cost anything but your time. You walk around with thoughts of someone you love, someone you miss or someone you don't like. The thought is like a knife that stabs you whenever you are thinking about something else. You can not escape it. You remember it at the most inappropriate times. It consumes you. Theses are the wounds that you need to heal. These are the thoughts that are making you sick and holding you back from living your life. You can heal yourself by taking action and healing that wound. It will feel good. It will not be fun. It will at the moment after you have given it the love it deserves, it will give you your life back and open you events and people to you that you have been missing your whole life. Influencers on the internet would have you pay them for a course or a .pdf that explains to you how to have an incredible life moment just like them. They would make you think that there is a trick. This is a lie. The trick or way to have a life moment is to shut out everyone from your thoughts and mind. Be alone with yourself and your issues. Then block out your issues. This next moment, which is so uncomfortable and weird and quiet and annoying, is that life moment you have been seeking. It only takes you to be with you and only you for life to happen to you. Right now is when life happens, not tomorrow, and not when you think so much about yesterday, but right now. How much time do you spend in the now? 100%? How much time do you spend thinking about yesterday and tomorrow, probably 100%. Then you are not living but reacting to other people's Now state. You must be in the Now, feeling, breathing, loving, crying, and enjoying every moment with all its intensity. But do you? How much time do you think about things? Stop thinking! Just be in the now, it is so much easier. There are no conditions other than just being in the now. Look around you and see all the people working hard on not being themselves but a description of what someone else has decided. Believing in yourself is your superpower. When you have self-doubt, you are holding yourself and your future back from emerging. Self-doubt is so destructive. Self-confidence is easy to say but hard to get there. The way to get there is to take a simple thought and think about yourself doing that thought well. Think about it a lot, repeat it in your mind, and replay it over and over until you have mastered that thought. You know you have mastered that thought when your self-confidence is so high you can do that task in your sleep. Now with that self-confidence, move to a new thought and do it again. Why is it weird to smile to a stranger today? When I was growing up I was told that I must do this all the time. As an adult, its weird. Yet, isn't this the number one complaint you here from people. Why doesn't anyone smile at me? This young boy smield at me a the beach the other day and he reset my thought process on caring about what people think or say when I smile.
