Finished bags and a hat
I’ve been busy here lately. True they are all smaller projects but that’s how I roll. 🧶
Since I can't monetize here on YouTube I have created a Rumble account and can receive revenue from videos and thumbs up on my content that's posted there. It's the same content as here on YT, Rumble just retrieves it and posts it there. If you would like to support my channel, head on over to Rumble and create a free account to watch and comment and like there. Here's my link: https://rumble.com/user/talesfromthecraftroom I will still continue posting here as long as YT allows me to do so, but receive no revenue from content or views on this platform.

I love this hat! No pattern as im winging it. I do have a 2 part crochet with me video on making a child size full stitch hat in my Tunisian Crochet playlist, but please take it with a grain of salt. I know more now than I did back when i made that video. That’s how we grow and learn.

Pumpkins in the City Silver Dollar City Fall Festival Adventure 2022
We took a harvest adventure this week. We ended up taking my mom along because we borrowed her car (our van was acting up). We had a great time. The lights would have looked better if it was darker but it was cold and mom was ready to go home. They still looked pretty cool though. Enjoy the sights and original sound from “The City”

Tunisian Lattice Stitch Hat Finished
I finished the flat tunisian hat I was working on. It turned out better than I expected.
I used a Size 6.5mm tunisian hook with cable and caron 1 pound yarn.
How I made it:
I Chained 3+2 that fits loosely around my head
I did a 2 tks 1 rtps ribbing then a few rows of tunisian knit before I changed my mind and finished har with the lattice stitch (https://tlycblog.com/how-to-crochet-the-tunisian-crochet-lattice-stitch-video-tutorial/).
I crocheted to 10” top to bottom (not stretching)
The last row I made a Tss in each “pair” or lattice loops and tss in the single loop. I dis not make the return stitch instead i fastened off and left a long tail (12” is plenty) for closing the top.
I seamed up the hat, right sides together, with a single crochet stitch. I fastened off leaving a short tail (6” is plenty). I threaded the long tail through the last row and gathered jt. I sewed a few stitches across the top and tied the gathering tail and seaming tail a few times abd snipped the ends.

Today Steve is making a “skeleton key”, for an antique residential door lock, that a customer brought in. We don’t do this very often but these old locks are still around and most of them are functioning.

What Type of Hooks Do You Have for Tunisian Crochet?
I thought it might be fun to try a couple Tunisian Crochet projects together once it gets colder, at least colder here. To help me plan and decide what type(s) of projects to make let me know in the comments what type of hooks you have. My most used sizes are H and I
Heres my list of options:
(A) standard crochet hooks with out added handles.
(B) longer hook, at least 10” long
(C) double end tunisian hook (the same length as a standard crochet hook is what I would use for projects together )
(D) crochet hook with a cable that can accommodate a large number of loops
Im not asking or expecting anyone to purchase any hooks to make projects, thats why im asking what you all have available. We need to be resourceful and use what we have. ♥️🧶
