Funny Great Danes Help Open Pool Cleaner Box
Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes love to help open boxes. Watch & laugh as Maddie gets a wee bit exuberant in assisting Mom in opening the new cordless pool cleaning box. Mom will be charging it up & letting it zoom around the pool. Keeping the pool clean with our feels like Florida temperatures over 110 degrees is a challenge & Mom loves her army of little robots. The Osprey is very light weight, which is helpful when lifting it in and out of the pool.

Giraffe Pulls Funny Weird Faces At Camera
The video shows a giraffe that pulls its face and mouth in all awkward manners, looking very funny and weird at the same time.
The giraffe is not only the tallest land mammal on earth but also one of the most wanted to see animals when going on safari. So much so that together with zebras, giraffes are the most photographed animals in the African wild. With their long necks and elegantly unique build, giraffes are one of the most iconic animals and symbols of the African continent. Giraffes are herbivores and they browse on the leaves of their favourite trees, scattered around in the African bush and savanna. It was during a safari in the Kruger National Park that we stopped to watch a small herd of giraffe during a late afternoon safari. While admiring the grace and beauty of the giraffes, I saw one individual that didn’t look so graceful. This giraffe looked at the camera and was pulling the most awkward looking faces at me. This looked weird and funny at the same time. It almost looked like the giraffe was singing out loud with its mouth moving and pulling in all directions. One of my safari guests dropped the comment that it looked like him in his younger days after a hard night out in the rave clubs. While there were many jokes thrown around for these funny faces coming from the giraffe, the only explanation for this behaviour was that the giraffe might have had something stuck in its throat, but since they are browsers, it was hard to believe that this giraffe was struggling to swallow a mouthful of leaves. The most likely but unconfirmed reason for this hilarious looking face pulling was that giraffes sometimes do pick up old bones, chewing and sucking on it when they need a calcium supplement. Nonetheless, witnessing such funny looking behaviour from a giraffe, which is rarely seen, was great entertainment for everyone on the safari.

Hungry Great Danes love chicken BLT sandwich night
Chef Maddie and Ellie love to sample dinner, especially when it involves bacon & chicken. With our beastly hot days in Florida & our AC acting a bit sketchy, Mom has been keeping dinner simple & light. A Chicken BLT sandwich has Maddie & Ellie's approval for a great dinner idea.

INSANELY TALL New River Railway Bridge
The second-tallest railway bridge in the United States is the New River Cantilever Truss Bridge located near the communities of New River and Helenwood, Tennessee. Opened on July 10th, 1963 by the Southern Railway, this massive structure stands 307'5" high with a span of 1,622ft over its namesake waterway. The bridge is located on Norfolk Southern's CNO&TP line which runs between Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. The railroad itself is owned by the City of Cincinnati via the Cincinnati Southern Railway. High Bridge of Kentucky, also located on the CNO&TP line in Wilmore, is technically the tallest in the United States by only 7 inches. There are other bridges that are higher but they are supported by canyon walls as opposed to the structures themselves.

Protective rhinoceros mother keeps a close eye on her precious calf
This rhinoceros mother and her baby are enjoying the sun on the plains in Kenya. Generally solitary, tight bonds are formed between a mother and her calf. They are wild and free, among a population of rhinos in Kenya that are protected by highly trained poaching enforcement officers. It is estimated that only 6,000 black rhinos remain in the wild, placing them dangerously close to extinction.
Here, the rhinos roam through a vast conservation tract that is patrolled and monitored, allowing the rhinos to live as nature intended, while reducing the threat of poaching and predation.
Black rhinos can reach a massive size, 180cm (71 inches) high, and weighng in at more than 1400kg (3100 lbs). In a few cases, weights have been reported at up to 2900kg (6385lbs).
Generally gentle creatures, they can be prone to aggression, charging at anything that they perceive as a threat. It is best to keep a respectful distance at all times. They are vegetarian, feeding on branches and leaves. With their enormous horns, they look formidable, but the horns are used for defense, intimidation and for digging up roots while feeding. They are also protected by their thick skin which serves almost as armour to prevent injury from sticks and thorns while feeding.
Black rhinoceros are aggressive in their behaviour toward each other, with nearly half of black rhinos dying from combat related injuries. They are prone to predation by lions and crocodiles when they are smaller. Predation of a full grown rhino is rare.
Capable of reaching speeds of 55km/h (34mph), they are able to run from predators and they are exceptionally fast when charging at a perceived threat.
A wild rhinocerous is a spectacular sight that few have the privilege of experiencing. It is crucial that we do all that we can so that we do not lose these majextic beasts forever.
