Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a U.S. Postal Service worker at gunpoint in Taylor. It happened Friday at the Pond Village Apartments on Eureka Rd. and has left the Downriver community concerned. Around 4 p.m. Friday, the postal worker was held at gunpoint at the bank of the apartment complex, and police say the suspect stole the mail carrier's set of keys and cell phone.

For the first time in four years, the Labor Day Parade will be taking to the streets again in Detroit. The parade route will begin on Michigan Ave. and 6th St. in Corktown and head west toward Roosevelt Park where several unions, including the UAW, will take the stage to speak.

High pressure to the south will bring southwesterly winds across the Great Lakes. This will bring some hot temperatures for Labor Day and into the start of the workweek. Highs will be near 90° through Wednesday. Record high temperatures may be broken, with the current records at 92° (2018) on Monday, and 93° (2018) on Tuesday.

Anyone living within four blocks of W Wilson St. and Bedford St. with a home security camera is asked to send the video to detectives.
