The KJV Bible reads in Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. Quite purposeful, yeah? Christian Conduct, encouragement, and motivation to live out their faith in the midst of a difficult world. These are all important habits for Christians to cultivate as we navigate the challenges of this crazy, and evil world. We are also instructed to “quench not the Spirit”. “Despise not prophesyings”. “Prove all things: hold fast that which is good”. These commands are meant to remind Christians that we should be living out our faith in a way that is grounded in the truth of God's Word, and that we should be open to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. Discern, brethren! Finally, we are encouraged to "abstain from all appearance of evil". This means that we should be avoiding actions and behaviors that are flat out evil, and also avoid what may seem like they are Christian but are actually contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. This is an important reminder for Christians to discern, with the help of the Holy Spirit, as they live and walk in their faith and to avoid compromising their values for the sake of fitting in with the world. Overall, the book of 1st Thessalonians is a great source of encouragement and motivation for Christians, as we navigate the challenges of this world. By cultivating the Spirit in our lives and rejoicing, praying and, giving thanks as often as we can. Live strong and in the Lord friends and grow your faith in accordance with the truth of God's Word. We can be assured that when we are at best, attempting to walk in the footsteps of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. When we do so, we are fulfilling the purpose for which we were created.
