Make a Tall Auxiliary Fence for Safer Resawing
If you ever resaw boards to create thinner wood, you should make this tall auxiliary fence for your table saw. It's an easy project, you likely already have the materials on hand, and it will make the resawing process safer and more accurate.

Make this irresistible bunny with a Happy Easter sign
I chuckled when I first saw this bunny, and found him irresistible. The inside cuts for the whiskers and some of the letters will present a bit of a challenge to anyone new to the scroll saw, but with a little patience this pattern is doable.

This latest easter project features bunnies and a basket

Happy Easter scroll saw work puzzle
Puzzles are fun to cut on the scroll saw and easy enough for a beginner. This one only has a few easy inside cuts, and then the rest of the project is just cutting each of the letters. I'll give some tips for cutting puzzles, because you want to make sure the pieces fit together smoothly.
The pattern comes from Steve Good at www.stevedgood.com.

Initial impression of the DeWalt DWC600 router
I purchased a DeWalt DWC600 router, and this short video gives you my honest first impressions. It is top-heavy because the battery mounts on top, but the motor is beefy, and the weight gives stability to the base. It has a variable speed control, and the bit stops instant;y when you turn the power off.

Learn how to make this beautiful intarsia butterfly
The art of intarsia originated before the 7th century A.D. It was used extensively for decoration in Italy during the 15th century. The process involves cutting small parts from various wood species and gluing them together to make a pattern or picture. In this video, I use purpleheart and maple, two kinds of wood with contrasting colors, to make two intarsia butterflies. I cut the intricate parts on a scroll saw and then glued them to a backer board.
To cut the 1/2 inch thick maple and purpleheart. Both are very hard woods; I used a #7 Pegas Modified Geometry blade. You can purchase these blades through the Bear Woods Supply website at www.bearwood.com/?aff=BHW. (This is an affiliate link, and I receive a commission on any orders placed through this link.)

Why the Pegas scroll saw is a game-changer
Are you looking to upgrade to a premium scroll saw? The Pegas should be at the top of your list. I purchased a new Pegas 21-inch scroll saw, and recorded this video the day I unboxed and set it up,. with final comments the day after. It performed flawlessly right out of the box, and I put it through its paces cutting everything from 1/8 to 1 1/2 inch thick oak. This saw does everything I need it to, and I operate a small woodworking business with the scroll saw at the heart of my operations.
I purchased this saw with my own funds, but I love it so much that I became an affiliate of the distributor, Bear Woods Supply.
